​The Cardington Police Department is seeking a Police Officer for Road Patrol.
 
This position is subject to the Cardington Police Department Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes, pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return to duty testing, and follow-up testing. Starting wage is $24.00 per hour with potential increase depending on experience.
 
Applicants must be 20 years or older at the time of employment.
 
Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen, or current work permit status.
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License at the time of employment.
  • Felony convictions and disqualifying criminal histories are not allowed.
  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, an Ohio Basic Training Academy.
  • Successful completion of extensive background
  • Oral Review Board
  • Psychological and Traits testing
  • VSA or Polygraph if applicable
  • Drug Testing
  • Physical
  • Chief interview
